Weaker players grinding Voidgloom Seraphim use it for life steal from Syphon, and people who just want to hit really hard put One For All on it, turning it into a budget Shadow Fury. Tanks in Dungeons use it to clear because of its 100% ☣ Crit Chance which they lack as well as the Syphon- Reaper Mask synergy. In addition, the Livid Dagger also has niche uses by people who might not seem like they’d need its abilities. Outside of Dungeons, it's still a very strong weapon, dealing respectable damage.
Its 100% ☣ Crit Chance also makes Syphon incredibly useful on it. On Floors IV, V, and VI, the Livid Dagger’s stats make it an ideal melee weapon, and thanks to its synergy with just about any damage setup, it is a much more versatile item than more powerful swords like the Shadow Fury, and in the early days of Floor VI, it was even used to sword-swap with the then meta-shifting Flower of Truth. One of the most prominent uses of the Livid Dagger is in mid-game dungeons. Initially valued because of its solid stats and very high ⚔ Bonus Attack Speed, it still remains a very strong weapon even so long after its inception in 2020.
Since its release with The Catacombs - Floor V, the Livid Dagger has remained an essential piece of any Berserker’s arsenal.
